I spent a month in South Korea creating content for NBC during the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. I managed to dip out to Seoul and took a bus up north to the DMZ, on a tour to North Korea led by a North Korean tour guide. US-North Korean tensions were extremely high at that time, and it was nerve-wracking to say the least (they literally had us sign death waivers).
